Upper Russian

They have withstood winter blasts for more than 50 years. They have watched windows shatter and doors swing away. They have even stood by while the ground changed beneath them. But this year, the logs of Upper Russian Lake Cabin have seen a treat.
We pulled and replaced the rotten and decaying courses from beneath them. We stripped years of paint, dirt and graffiti from their surface. And we covered them with a new roof. New bunks, a new hearth and a deck are still to come. When they do, the logs will be ready for another 50 years.
You can find more photos of the restoration here.
