A long road

3880 miles.
4 states.
3 provinces.
168.04 gallons of gas.
3 National Parks.
60-90 caffeinated beverages.
5 black bear.
1 grizzly.
2 pounds of Swedish fish. (Thanks Amy.)
9 moose: 6 live, 3 roadkill.
Herds of elk and caribou.
Countless pronghorn antelope, whitetail and mule deer.
2 pounds of sunflower seeds.
Herds of Bighorn sheep, Stone sheep, Dall sheep, and woodland bison. (You can tell the woodland from the plains bison by their opposable thumbs which they use for climbing trees. Just kidding Claire.)
1 wolf.
1 oil change.
1 coyote.
1 tire rotation.
1 beaver.
The complete first season of The Boondocks.
5 foxes.
5 campsites.
2 hours at a Canadian hot springs.
0 hours at Canadian or US customs.
Lots of eagles, hawks, geese and ducks.
A few Trumpeter swans and Sandhill cranes (not in Nebraska).
More than a few construction zones and frost heaves.
Rain, sleet, snow, wind, sun, heat, dust, thunder, lightning and lots and lots of pavement. Add it all up and what do you get?

Two folks from Nebraska back in Alaska.
