Doi Inthanon is the highest peak in Thailand. There is a paved road to the top much like Mt. Washington in the states.
At least it looked like it was paved all the way up.
30 minutes past the turnaround time to make it back to Chiang Mai before dark our motorbike still could not muster the gumption to get up that hill.
Despite being turned back from the summit of such a prestigious climb the day seemed a reward. Smiles came from the markets and traffic as we wound around the road between waterfalls.
