Slicker

Things have been kind of hectic. Deadlines and due dates. The closer they come the more stress develops. Sometimes it seems like it is raining and I don't have my jacket. Finding these made a nice break. Looking for roads for an illustration and I realized I never shared these.

Woke up that day and it was raining. Not much but enough. Wet and cold. Called Butch and we decided to at least meet for coffee at 6. Went to Wills' had some jo' and rolled out. It rained most of the day. We rode east of town, ate pizza, rode back way north. Ended up rolling about eighty miles. If you have some sort of jacket, the rain is kind of nice.

Putting from the Rough

Went out to Branched Oak today. Cold on the nose but comfy while we walked. Butch stirred up some deer and we watched them bail as fast as they could. Geese flying overhead. They probably have a golf course to crap on somewhere. I knew I liked geese for some reason.

CW Ride

Rode out to Walton. Comfortable on the way out. Cold toes by the time we got back. 12 windchill will do that.

Wilderness rolled fast last night from freezing temps but there was no ice and just enough graupel (not hail, not snow) to make the white trail easy to follow. Following the white trail led us to a common enough sight. Whitetail. They usually don't stick around as long as these three did. The doe out front, while obviously running screen for the fawn and other in the back left, did not seem to mind us much. Just cautious.
